William Comer’s career spans more than 20 years in executive and
community leadership roles, including serving as CEO and Senior Vice President
of multiple investor-owned and not-for-profit organizations. His expertise
includes successful turnarounds, strategic financial management, physician
and employee partnerships, and creating innovative strategic initiatives.
William has served as CEO of Private Equity Group, based in Scottsdale,
Arizona, where he oversaw the development and operations of a six-hospital
health system. He was also the CEO of The Surgical Hospitals, a physician-owned
hospital company in Phoenix, Arizona, where he brought the hospitals through
Chapter 11 reorganization. Other employers include Nueterra Healthcare
in Kansas City where William successfully led the hospital division that
includes 10,000 employees, 12 hospitals, 50 surgery centers, and 200 physician
practices. Earlier in his career, William worked for Tenet Health and
Sisters of Mercy Health System.
William has a Master's degree in Health Administration from Washington
University in St. Louis and is currently working on his Doctorate in Psychology
at California Southern University. He is a Fellow in the American College
of Healthcare Executives and has been actively involved as a board member
and with community organizations everywhere he's worked and lived.
When he has free time, William enjoys flying airplanes, writing, and providing
fitness, health, and nutrition training for individual and corporate clients.
