Paradise Valley Hospital, as part of Prime Healthcare Services, was ranked
among the 2013 Top 15 Top Health Systems in the nation by
Truven Health Analytics based on quality of care, efficiency and patient satisfaction. Only
two health systems in the state of California received this distinguished
national recognition in 2013.
This is the third time in five years that Prime Healthcare has earned the
national distinction. Alvarado Hospital, located adjacent to SDSU, is
also part of Prime Healthcare system.
According to Truven Health, compared to its peers, Top 15 health system
hospitals save more lives, cause fewer patient complications, follow industry-recommended
standards of care more closely, make fewer patient safety errors, release
patients half a day sooner, and score better on overall patient satisfaction.
This annual, quantitative study uses objective, independent research and
public data sources.
Health systems do not apply, and winners do not pay to market their award.
"Prime Healthcare consistently shows that it’s a leader in an
ever-evolving healthcare landscape,” said Mike Sarian, Prime Healthcare
president of operations. "The award serves as a reassurance to the
hospitals' teams of clinicians, physicians and leaders who have been
dedicated to do the right thing, always and every time.”
"We thank the physicians, nurses and staffs at Prime Healthcare hospitals
who are dedicated to achieving superior clinical outcomes.” added
Regional CEO Luis Leon, Prime Healthcare.
