National City, CA: His Excellency Fidel V. Ramos, former President of the Philippines will be in San Diego on his official visit with the Filipino American community on Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 9-11 AM at the lobby conference room hosted of the Paradise Valley Hospital located at 2400 E. 4th Street in National City, California.
FVR as he is fondly called by his countrymen, will take the opportunity of this visit to update his fellow countrymen (kababayans) about the Philippines’ current events, economic climate, and encourage Filipino Americans to come and visit their homeland.

About His Excellency Fidel V Ramos: President Ramos remains a highly regarded international leader and is the Philippines’ best ambassador of good will. Ramos was a soldier who is remembered as one of the leaders of the 1986 EDSA revolution (also known as the Philippine Revolution of 1986) that drove President Ferdinand Marcos from power. He later served President Corazon Aquino as Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines and as the Secretary of National Defense. Ramos served as President of the Philippines from 1992 to 1998 and is fondly remembered for helping revive the country’s economy through the mid 1990s. The former President of the Philippines, Fidel V. Ramos, launched the book “Trustee of the Nation,” a biography of the former president written by W. Scott Thompson, Ph. D.
